Hudson River Park is located on the west side of Manhattan in Greenwich Village. The Park runs 5 miles along the Hudson River, which makes it ideal for a picturesque run or lounge depending on your mood.

The various piers feature astro turf, so you'll see kids playing and people working out on them. We found a spot near Pier 46 with both a view of the downtown city scape and New Jersey. We loved this park because a humid 90 degree day can become bearable when you feel the breeze coming off the water. It's also so fun to me to watch all the people that walk by.

The park is somewhat of a walk from the nearby subway stations, at least pier 45 and 46 are. Since the roads aren't set up in a grid we had to take different twists and turns to get there. The journey did provide a small grocery store where we were able to pick up some snacks though.
