Awash Restaurant

At 947 Amsterdam Avenue, located on the Upper West Side of Manhattan, Awash is a four star Ethiopian Restaurant. Although it isn't encouraged as the perfect first date, it is more likely an excellent place to introduce a first timer or one who has little knowledge of the Ethiopian Culture. Not only are the hosts some of the nicest women around, they dress in the Ethiopian style, in colorful apparel. But be warned, all who enter knowing little, such as I: It is with utmost respect and what seems to be perfect manner in this culture to eat with your hands.
