Madison Square Garden and Penn Station
Madison Square Garden is one of the world's most popular arenas it's home to several professional sports teams and has been the venue for some of the most popular artists in music. The Garden opened up on February 11, 1968 and is the fourth venue to take on the name of Madison Square Garden. It’s located in Midtown between 7th and 8th Avenue and between 31st and 33rd street. It has undergo two renovations since then, the most recent was from 2011-2013 and it was a one billion dollar renovation. The Garden has a capacity of 19,812.
Madison Square Garden is a unique arena because it is built on top of Pennsylvania Station. This makes it convenient for people to get to their events easier without having to worry about parking. This also brings people into the Garden, thousands of people go in and out of this station daily so they can see all the upcoming events. Penn Station has twenty one tracks that can get you to Boston, D.C, New Jersey, Philly, or anywhere on the east coast. There is also subway and bus services within the station. This is busiest passenger transportation facility in North America and has a prime location within the city.
