If you are a fan of the Beatles, and in particular, John Lennon, you better keep reading.

Located in Central Park is an area named Strawberry Fields, named after one of John Lennon's favorite songs "Strawberry Fields Forever."

John Lennon portrayed world peace and inspiration through his music; therefore, on October 9, 1985, Strawberry Fields was dedicated for the 45th anniversary of Lennon's death. Now a widow, Yoko Ono Lennon worked to make Strawberry Fields a tranquil and meditative spot in order to remember John Lennon. Now lies a beautiful mosaic created by Italian craftsmen and given as a gift by the city of Naples in memory of John Lennon. in the center of the mosaic is the word "Imagine," another lyric of one of Lennon's famous songs.

Although designated as a quiet zone in the park, one can often see a modern-day john lennon sitting on the benches, strumming his guitar, and singing the lyrics to some of Lennon's famous hits. His memory still lives on in this serene location in Central Park.
