The Paris Theatre

The Paris Theatre holds the distinction of being one of the oldest and only single-screen movie theaters in New York City. The theater can be found just adjacent to the world-famous Plaza Hotel. While the theater screens only one film at a time, it is a great place to see art-house films, foreign films, and documentaries not screened at other theaters.

The appeal of the Paris comes from its old-fashioned charm. It’s a touch classier than most other movie theaters, and makes going to the movies feel like more of a special event or outing. They offer concessions like other theaters though, so you don’t have to miss out on the buttery goodness of movie theater popcorn.

Check out a movie at the Paris one rainy afternoon and soak in the luxury and nostalgia that comes from sitting on the upper balcony level of a theater among the high-society men and women of New York City.
