New York City's Fashion Institute of Technology brings status and pride to the fashion atmosphere in the Garment District. FIT attracts students from all over the country, and even the world, to come and study in the fashion capital of the country and one of the most thriving and creative fashion areas in the world. Students attending the Fashion Institute of Technology learn about design, fashion, art, communications, and business. They are taught by high class professionals and by the time they graduate, they are more than prepared to take the fashion world by storm. FIT's website states that its mission is to prepare its students for professional excellence in design and business, along with, "foster creativity, inspire leadership, impart a global perspective, and educate students to embrace inclusiveness, commit to sustainability, and engage with community."

The Fashion Institute of Technology also has a museum, which they claim is "The Most Fashionable Museum in New York City" and I believe that statement is correct. The museum is currently displaying an exhibit entitled "Uniformity", which is just so intriguing. This exhibit will be on display until November, when another exhibit will take its place. These exhibits are unlike many of the typical NewYork museums and so i would highly recommend visiting them. The information to these exhibits can be found on this website: www.fitnyc.edu/museum/.
