Otto's Tacos

Although the best tacos in all of New York come from Los Tacos No. 1 at Chelsea Market, the next best tacos come from Otto's Tacos in East Village. Famously known for their savory tacos and masa fries, you can't go wrong by ordering anything on their menu because it is all so good -- and affordable!

They offer five different tacos: carne asada $3.25, carnitas $3.00, chicken $3.00, mushroom $3.00, and shrimp $3.50. You can choose between a red salsa, green salsa, or serrano crema for the shrimp tacos. My favorite was their chicken and carne asada tacos. Oh and for $0.45 cents you can add guac to your taco (which is always a must). A side of masa fries are just $3.00 and are very filling and dense, different from any regular french fry.

In order to get to Otto's Tacos, take a 4 or 6 train to Astor Place and then walk 0.3 miles.
