If you’re hungry after visiting the Botanical Gardens, Tom’s Restaurant was a walk away and definitely hit the spot! It’s location on 728 Washington Ave in Brooklyn and has been there since 1968. The owner, Gus Vlahavas recently passed away and left his successful business to his mother who lives just above it and is often seen sitting in the restaurant, making friends with the customers.
It is very reasonably priced and you get plenty of food. Tom’s Wrap and the Lemon Ricotta pancakes were some top recommendations, and for good reason. They were both delicious! But anything you get on the menu is great. They serve all day breakfast, so don’t be afraid to try the french toast at 3 pm.
If you’re in the area, it’s a fun and scrumptious place to visit. The staff is very friendly and accommodating, and the food is delicious!
