Church in the Bronx

The Bronx has both English and Spanish family wards. Both are very friendly and welcoming. We espescially loved our experience in the Spanish ward. After church many of the members stayed to talk to us. Many offered their numbers and said we could call them if they needed anything. Though these wards don't get near as many tourists as the Manhatten wards they are very open and friendly to them. They made us feel at home. If you speak Spanish we highly recommend going to the Spanish ward. They truly let you become a part of their family.

To be completely honest the LDS church in the Bronx building is not the easiest to find but if you type in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints to your map on your phone you should get good directions. You need to go the last stop on the express green line. The stop is called Parkchester. Make sure you the train is an express and not the normal 6. We made that mistake once and wound up in Pelham Bay Park. Also, be careful not to walk on past the church, we almost did! It stuck in the middle of the apartments but if you look for the spire, you won't miss it!
