Welcome to a new year

Happy new year and welcome to this special edition of Comms 328, Backpack Journalism.

What's so special about this section? Well, this particular section is intended to be a substitute for Comms 420, Advanced Reporting. That means we're assuming you already have some basic reporting and multimedia skills. During this semester we will produce some high quality multimedia packages and videos. I will be your instructor, Carrie Moore is the newsroom supervisor, and we hope to have a TA named soon, who will also serve as the Universe multimedia producer. We will spend most of our time reporting, producing, critiquing, coaching, and improving.

Take a look at the printed syllabus. But please be aware that the schedule on Learning Suite takes precedence and will change as needed. Also, please keep coming back to the class blog for assistance and updates.
